Humanity at Cegal: Technology with a heart
Building a better world for all.
Building a better world for all.
Humanity at Cegal was established in 2015 as a voluntary organization within Cegal. Since then, Humanity at Cegal has become part of Cegal's larger sustainability strategy to support humans around the globe, and to drive social engagement and passion for Cegal employees.
By combining our global footprint and digital competency we support projects in several parts of the world. Humanity at Cegal is committed to sponsor and drive humanitarian causes, so-called “Goosebump” projects.
At Humanity at Cegal we believe that every person has been given a great potential to make a positive impact in the world. In our work, we focus on two main points:
Humanity at Cegal aims to engage employees in pro bono work by utilizing their talents to drive positive change in humanitarian causes.
Humanity at Cegal strives to support humans in need around the world by empowering our employees to use their specialized skills to make a lasting impact.
As Save the Children Norway's first EdTech partner, we work closely together to create a better future for underprivileged children across the globe by providing them with better access to education through the power of technology.

Did you know that the global climate crisis is the biggest threat to children's learning rights? As extreme weather events are destroying schools, an increasing number of children are forced to leave their homes and education behind. Countries facing the highest vulnerability are Afghanistan, Sudan, and Somalia - to only name a few.
Using technology can make a true difference and protect children's education in high-risk countries. Hence, Save the Children is working hard on different EdTech initiatives to provide children with safe and equitable access to education.
We at Humanity at Cegal believe this partnership has great potential and are very excited to see Cegalians joining forces in providing children with better access to education!

PROJECT FINALIZED
Humanity at Cegal partnered with the Fiji Foundation to financially support the establishment of an evacuation center located in Wainibuka in Fiji - to house residents in the event of the next flood or cyclone.
In June 2024, the Fiji Foundation officially opened the evacuation center.
In addition to serving as shelters during future cyclones, the centers provide valuable opportunities for the local community. One center features a large multipurpose room (for use as a classroom or gym), toilets, a kitchen, a library, a medical examination room, and dedicated spaces for women who have started their businesses—empowering them toward self-sufficiency.
We hope to hear from you!
