Sustainability Committee initiatives
The Sustainability Committee has different tasks and initiatives.
- Discuss and review the sustainability strategy
- Select priority projects for each year, and coordinate and assist in following up
- Make the annual sustainability report for Cegal
- Maintain the document “Sustainability at Cegal” with re-usable info for tenders, marketing activities, recruiting, etc
- Raise awareness internally and externally
- Administer the Cegal membership of UN Global Compact
The Cegal Sustainability Report
The committee is responsible for making the sustainability report together with external parties. The report is issued annually to monitor progress and keep us focused on achieving the goals of becoming a more sustainable and future-oriented company.
The Cegal Sustainability Report 2023 describes the relevance of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) in the industries in which we operate. It highlights the key ESG topics, assesses performance on these, and provides an action plan for identifying opportunities for value-creation.
Sustainability and social responsibility
The establishment of the Women at Cegal network was done in 2019 and was part of the Cegal ESG strategy. This is closely linked to our sustainability strategy and the pilar social responsibility.
We are very proud to have receive the Sustainability award from Norvestor as a recognition of the ambitious and strategic work done by the Women at Cegal network.
